2Serve Together sponsors 5 day retreats with our partner, Travis Mills Foundation at their peaceful retreat facility in Rome, Maine. These retreats create powerful opportunities for women military veterans to build relationships with others who understand their journey. In an environment that honors their service and shared experiences, participants develop meaningful connections that extend well beyond their time together at the retreat. Many women discover a sense of belonging and understanding they haven’t experienced since their military service. Activities may include:
- Wellness practices that encourage self-compassion, mindfulness, and meditation
- Workshops introducing the post-traumatic growth model from the Boulder Crest Foundation
- Adventure experiences like ropes courses, wall climbing, and equine therapy
- Creative expression through guided songwriting and arts
- Freshly prepared meals
2Serve Together sponsors these retreats as a thank you to women veterans for their service and sacrifice. We also are committed to creating a community that facilitates resources and networking for overall wellness and connections to other women veterans and those individuals and organizations supporting them.
