What is a recalibrated veteran?
The term’ recalibrated veteran’ was introduced by SSG Travis Mills, a veteran injured by an IED in Afghanistan. Instead of calling himself a ‘wounded warrior,’ he chose ‘recalibrated’ to reflect his healing—adapting to a new life and rediscovering purpose. The foundation shares this philosophy, recognizing that every veteran’s journey is unique, and we are committed to helping them recalibrate their lives with new opportunities.

Warrior PATHH for Ocala, FL Veterans
Warrior PATHH is a pioneering initiative that supports veterans and first responders in attaining Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). This program begins with an intensive 7-day in-person session at the Travis Mills Foundation, followed by 90 days of virtual training led by PATHH Guides—veterans who have completed the program themselves. Available nationwide, this initiative provides a meaningful opportunity for profound personal healing and development.
Recalibrate Program (Long-Term Veteran Support)
Launched in 2022, the Recalibrate Program extends a veteran’s motivation and progress beyond their initial veteran retreat. It offers continuous long-term follow-up, goal support, and financial assistance to sustain their success. Whether it is home improvements, job resources such as electric bikes, or other necessary aid, we are committed to supplying Ocala, FL, veterans and others with the tools they need to flourish long-term.
