Ambassador Program

Never Give Up. Never Quit.
Travis Mills Foundation

What does it mean to be an Ambassador?

In our Ambassador Program, post-9/11 recalibrated veterans who have already experienced the Travis Mills Foundation Veterans Retreat are selected and trained to represent TMF at various events across the country.

Established in 2018, It’s a way for our participants to continue to be involved with the organization, give back, and share the impact TMF has had on them. Ambassadors are often part of the Foundation’s Signature Events, including the Miles for Mills Memorial Day Weekend Race, Building Strength Gala and Plane Pull ®.

Real Ambassadors, Real Stories

Ambassador and Army veteran Anthony Cunningham and his wife attended the Travis Mills Foundation Veterans Retreat for the first time in February 2023. One of Anthony’s favorite parts of the Retreat is the peace he feels here, nestled in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine.

“It’s a stress-free environment with serene surroundings,” Anthony added. “It’s a break from my everyday and great meeting peers and their families – connecting with them.”

Anthony has also attended the Miles for Mills 5K and he swam with gentle giants at the Georgia Aquarium through Off-Site Programming of the Foundation.

“My time with the TMF family has been a very fun, learning experience. With this experience I have learned to take time for myself, which I found out is important. The Retreat has uplifted my life physically, emotionally, and my overall well being. The general attitude of all staff and volunteers has made me take a hard look at my attitude in life and has helped me to change and be happy everyday. I am blessed to have been a part. Thank you all.”
