$5.5 Million Capital Campaign
Help us build a dedicated home for Warrior PATHH — where veterans and first responders find post-traumatic growth, healing, and renewed purpose.
Why We Build
At the Travis Mills Foundation, we believe service does not end when the uniform comes off. For years, our retreat in Rome, Maine has been a place of recovery, connection, and growth for veterans and first responders. But demand has outpaced what one facility can hold.
“Post-traumatic stress is not a sentence — it’s a starting point for growth.”
Our Warrior PATHH program now has a wait list. Warriors who are ready to do the work are waiting. By acquiring an adjacent property and dedicating it entirely to Warrior PATHH, we can run two programs simultaneously — serving twice as many warriors without sacrificing the intimacy that makes PATHH work. This expansion will also grow our Women of Valor program from 2 to 4 retreats per year, and create space for Struggle Well community workshops.
One Building Wasn't Enough
Our original retreat can only host one program at a time, leaving hundreds of warriors on a wait list for a program that could change their lives.
Demand Keeps Growing
As Warrior PATHH gains recognition for delivering results 5–7× better than traditional mental health approaches, more warriors are asking for help every day.
More Programs = More Grants
Increasing the number of PATHH programs per year unlocks more grant funding — a sustainable cycle that funds future growth at no cost to participants.
Built on a Strong Foundation
TMF holds $20M in property assets and $14M in cash with zero long-term debt. Your gift joins an organization built to last.
About the Program
Warrior PATHH — Progressive & Alternative Training for Helping Heroes — is the nation’s first program dedicated to cultivating Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG) in combat veterans and first responders. This is not therapy. It is transformation.
Peer-led healing, hope, and strength — delivered by PATHH Guides who have walked this path themselves. The program is rooted in the science of PTG: the understanding that trauma does not have to be the end of the road, but the beginning of a new one.
Increase in PTG
Decrease in Depression
Decrease in Anxiety
Days 1–7
A 7-day immersive initiation at the Travis Mills Foundation Veterans Retreat in Rome, Maine — a peaceful, rural setting designed for learning, reflection, and genuine transformation.
Days 8–90
90 days of ongoing peer-led support from PATHH Guides — warriors who have faced the same struggles and are just a little further along the path.
Who Is It For
Combat veterans, first responders, and service member families — active or retired. Warrior PATHH is training to thrive because of your warrior experiences, not in spite of them.
Always Free
Thanks to a partnership with the Boulder Crest Foundation and support from the Avalon Action Alliance, Warrior PATHH is provided at no cost to every participant. Your gift keeps it that way.
Results
Warrior PATHH delivers outcomes 5–7× better than traditional approaches to mental health — not a temporary fix, but a lifelong foundation for growth.
NOT Therapy
Not a faith-based program. Not about existing as a diminished version of yourself. Warrior PATHH is intensive training designed by Warriors, for Warriors.

The Capital Campaign
The $5.5 million Warrior PATHH Capital Campaign funds three interconnected projects — each essential to delivering more programs, housing more warriors, and supporting the team that makes it all possible.
Warrior PATHH Expansion Building
A state-of-the-art training facility dedicated entirely to Warrior PATHH — purpose-built for peer-led healing, workshops, reflection, and growth in a peaceful rural setting.
More Programs = More Grants
On-site lodging for an immersive PATHH experience. Private apartment-style and hotel-style rooms to support rest, reflection, and healing during the 7-day initiation.
One Building Wasn't Enough
Expanding and modernizing our administrative hub gives our growing team the space and resources to serve veterans and families with excellence.
Every major gift in this campaign carries the option to be permanently named in honor or memory of someone who matters — from individual rooms to the building itself.
